RTA celebrates 25 years of changing lives

RTA was founded at Sing Sing Correctional Facility in 1996. 25 years later, RTA has grown into a robust prison arts program in New York with hundreds of successful alumni. We kicked off the celebration with UPLIFT, a virtual concert led by alumni that featured messages from our members inside prison. This month we launch Unlocked, a short film and social media campaign to raise awareness about our approach to the system.   Stay tuned as we announce more events to celebrate the anniversary, culminating in our 25th anniversary gala in the spring of 2022.
