Katherine Vockins founded RTA in 1996 at Sing Sing Correctional Facility and continues as its Executive Director. Katherine was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters by Purchase College, State University of New York, for her prison work, and named a Huffington Post Person of the Day, a Westchester County Thought Leader and Chavez Day Hero.
Since she started working with RTA in 2007, Ricki Gold has had a central role in strategic planning, development, programming and operations. She holds a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology.
Director of Operations
Charles Moore has been involved in RTA since 2004. With a Bachelor's degree in Human Services, a Master's degree in Professional Studies and as an RTA alumnus,, Charles brings a wealth of insight and ideas to the organization.
Jackie joined RTA in 2017 to help grow the organization’s development effort. Prior to RTA, she worked at Storefront Academy Harlem and Inner-City Scholarship Fund in New York City.
Jackie holds a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School.
Joe Giardina oversees programming and teaching artists at all facilities in which RTA operates. Joe served as the Director of Education at the New Victory Theater and Theatre for a New Audience, and most recently, was the Managing Director at Gretna Theatre in PA.
Brandon Barrow assists in RTA's growing development and administrative needs. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and spent several years working in fine art galleries and non-profit visual art organizations.
